A seasoned leader with nearly 30 years of experience as a university professor, academic and administrative leader, Dr. Christopher Metzler most recently served as a Senior Fellow at The Thomas Jefferson University, where he pioneered work in health care disparities. Prior to Thomas Jefferson, he was Senior Dean at Georgetown University where he created Georgetown’s seven (7) master’s Degrees including: Human Capital, Sport’s Management, Technology, Systems Engineering, Real Estate, Emergency and Disaster Relief and Urban and Regional Planning. 

Prior to joining Georgetown, he created the first DEI certificate program in the country at Cornell University where he was also on faculty. His tenure in leadership at both institutions centered on institutional transformation, organizational development, community partnerships, inclusive excellence, digital transformation, strengthening research, innovation, and graduation education, and addressing barriers to educational equity and student and faculty success. Under his leadership at both institutions, allowed both universities to drive significant revenue and reputational growth as well as contributing to scholarship, research and global growth. 

After a stellar academic career, Dr. Metzler returned to the private sector and founded an urgent care, pharmacy, and medical testing lab. He along with business partners developed a genetic test detailing the effect of cannabis on the body. In addition, he founded Metzler Minutes an Organizational Development, Consulting and DEI firm. He is a widely sought after speaker on these issues commanding audiences as small as 20 and as large as 10,000. 

Throughout his career, Dr. Metzler has been actively engaged in national and regional volunteer leadership, having served on the boards of the LEAD Fund, The ARC, The Refsum Foundation and The American Red Cross and Herzing University. He also is a founder and investor of Community X, a digital social justice platform. 

A scholar of Law and International Human Rights, Dr. Metzler holds degrees in Law and Human Rights from Oxford University in The U.K. and Columbia University in New York. His Doctorate is from Aberdeen.
